Is there a secret to living a better life?

Edit*** God and religion is really helping me

Does anyone know if there’s a secret to this universe, so that I can have the perfect life or at least a better life?

I’ve tried manifestation and counselling but have found religion to be helping me the most.

If you have any suggestions or advice, please leave a comment! Thank you.

I can’t speak for everyone, but here’s what’s worked for me. There wasn’t some cosmic “secret” to living a better life. I stopped chasing that idea and started chasing alignment. Not perfection, not constant happiness, just a life that felt like it was built for the kind of person I was trying to become.

Here’s the short version: I started doing more of what excited me; not in a cheap dopamine way, but in the “this scares me and lights me up” kind of way. I designed a life that created the kinds of problems I actually enjoy solving. That one shift changed everything.

I leaned into growth, not just reading about it, but deliberately taking on discomfort, challenge, and controlled suffering. Pain became a training partner, not an enemy. That gave me resilience I didn’t know I could earn.

I got real about the people around me. I stopped keeping relationships that made me smaller or lazier. I started surrounding myself with people who challenged me, sharpened me, and made me want to be more. That part might be the most important of all.

And I made my work mean something, not just for money or status, but something that helped my people. My loved ones. My tribe. My community. That gave me a reason to get up when nothing else did.

No system is perfect. Religion helped you, but not fully, same with me. Counseling, journaling, lifting, fighting, faith, brotherhood, all part of the mix. But the engine? That came from designing a life I was proud to carry, not escape from.

Your version might look different. But if it’s grounded in challenge, growth, service, and aliveness, it won’t be far off.

My teacher, an enlightened master, has always said if you want a good life do completion of the past exercises so that it doesn’t hold you back from a great present moment and design a great future. We do exercises that help this by writing an incompletion, re-live the emotion and experience again and then complete and let it go. This will reduce karmic load. Keep aware of the mindset you have that may sabotage you. Completion can help change your mindset. Completion helps remove those things. Also he said to live your life 100 percent by practicing 1)integrity (always tell the truth, do not lie) 2)authenticity (do not hide yourself with lies, express yourself honestly and fully, no pretense) 3)responsibility ( make a stand that you are the cause of all that occurs in your life—this will remove victimhood and guilt, blame or shame. ) and 4) enriching other’s lives (share yourself fully with others in a way that can inspire others to do better and have good lives).

The secret is locked inside of you, and only you can give yourself that answer.

Sounds so cliche… but it’s the truth. Only you know what will improve your life.

It starts with listening to you… listen to your body and your brain.

Your body is often telling you something and your brain often decides it knows best… but you can’t have one without the other, and only YOU can drive the boat…

🛥️

We are in a state of constant conflict internally… and have learned to “push through” or just “suck it up” and so many of us are shut down and live miserable lives because we’re doing all the things we were told to do, and it doesn’t feel like it’s working because it IS NOT WORKINNNNNGGGGG… we just think it’s us, or the world, or whatever… but really it’s the internal conflict we’re dealing with in an Every. Second. Basis.

The secret to living a better life is in your thoughts and in your feelings… but only you can interpret the thoughts and the feelings. From our external point of view, anything we say will only point you in a direction… but again, it comes down to you, and your interpretation of our words…

It’s all subjective. 🥴
